Hey!! My name is Remy, and I’m studying a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Melbourne, majoring in History and minoring in Politics and International studies. I am extremely passionate about the humanities disciplines, and my favourite subjects in school were English, History, Drama and Visual Arts. I graduated high school in Western Sydney in 2020 (I’ve just moved to Melbourne for university!) and I spent my time off from study travelling around the country in my camper-van. I absolutely love tutoring, and my previous tutoring experience has given me an incredibly deep appreciation for the power of individualised support that is tailored to each students’ strengths and weaknesses. I also really understand how stressful and anxiety-inducing school can be; after graduating, I was diagnosed with ADHD. Throughout Year 12, I had to teach myself structures and systems to help me figure out how to manage the stress and the organisational challenges of undergoing final exams. Because of this, I really empathise with students who might learn differently or struggle with motivation or procrastination, and I’ve equipped myself with so many tools and techniques that can help support any students struggling to manage the stress of the VCE. I can’t wait to meet you, and hopefully help make VCE English as enjoyable and stress-free as possible!
