I’m currently studying medicine but also have degrees in biochemistry and philosophy. My passions are super varied - I love music, poetry, theatre and linguistics; and I love to expand my knowledge base in random silly ways. For instance, I’ve been learning to become ambidextrous and studying historical armour making!
I think it’s so easy to feel lost and out of place in the things that you do so my job as a tutor is to help you the best that I can! But I also find great consolation (and I hope you do too) in this passage by Stephen Fry:
'Oscar Wilde said that if you know what you want to be, then you inevitably become it - that is your punishment, but if you never know, then you can be anything. There is a truth to that. We are not nouns, we are verbs. I am not a thing - an actor, a writer - I am a person who does things - I write, I act - and I never know what I am going to do next. I think you can be imprisoned if you think of yourself as a noun.'
